31 March 2025 we deregistered from GST issuing IRD with an IR315 form. The first time since GST was invented in New Zealand way back when. I remember it starting as 10% then went to 12.5% then 15%. But really, what does GST do? Every few months was a business loss GST refund. But for us, it was a fake credit against our other personal tax balances. Once we cancelled GST, we also had to also bring all our taxes up to date (when we really expected refunds – they ended up expenses) as we had to pay the GST back on anything we had used in the business, at the Fair Market Rate value (FMV.) That included our car and ute. So painful. And then we still have to file a final IR3 (self employment) in July.
I suspect I will engage a ‘payment plan’ as this is just reduculous. As we still have the charitably focused second home in Otaki, rented to a former forum member on the minimum rates, we have to pay taxes on the after-maintenance balance. That means… more money to you know where. We have definately entered a period of personally changing times. And I suspect, it’s just beginning. So where does that leave us, the forum, and website it is hosted on? Good question.
It leaves is with every chance to use this time of change to build that private, diversely located interest and caring group that we are even more away from prying eyes. As said before, it matters not how ‘popular’ we are in the eyes of online public. It matters only the intent. Our purpose is there to be there for the spiritual and life journey. Who cares the taxes or politics. We might be forced out of existence but that is only by human standards. In truth we are deeper than many realise.
15 February 2025 Update
Amazing to think that our own insane undeclared prejudices caused a mass stampede away from something that could be so good. I am forever shaking my head at how free will becomes free willy and the masses of ‘all of us’ being so high of value and purpose, swam off into social media sunset. Forgetful lot. We are not made of straw, are we? Don’t blame me… I am over being ‘blamed.’ Look at yourself alone. Singularly.
This site has never been about human frailty. It is about human endeavour. But an open one where your strength, stamina, place, purpose, being, essence, integrity, value, charisma, karma, lightness, darkness, family value, people value, spirit value, and every other bloody thing will be put through wringers. And any prejudice you hold will be amplified. I am the hardest wring-master of them all, just by sheer patience and persistence.
And only Admin is left. Little wonder. Aside from one soul I have had to add to my ignore list. And you know who you are.
Let me make this very clear once again:
- All accounts were, since 1984, annually audited and reconciled with Inland Revenue. Every cent including cash payments. Everything. All purchases were spent where they were meant. every cent tax paid and accounted. Cross out ‘financial concern.’
- I have never held a conviction. Not once, not even accounting for the Clean Slate Act. Those who thought me otherwise, you’re a fool for not checking properly and asking the right questions.
- To further that, I am a senior advisor for Central Government as far as work and have passed the highest of security clearances in the land. Unequivocably clean.
So, what am I here for? I am completely philanthropic on my purpose to help people in body, mind and spirit. But just one look at the donation requests… sitting at ZERO received this last year, and you see why we are waiting.
Oh yes, a spirit minded person here waits. For that day. But the entire pitiful prejudice of the past five years in terms of how social media and people online work, has not been in your favour. What can I say?
A little admin waits. Patiently. In the meantime, we will do what we do and you can do what you will.
