Wow. Who’d have thought such a great idea would be met largely with silence. We’ll use these for something practical for when the shit actually hits the fan eh?!
July 2024:
We have opportunity to put together survival packs for people in hardship. Depending on the number of people involved, the pack will have one or more specific items to provide some comfort. The contents and criteria will be established by members / participants as we go. At the moment, we are seeking to secure the four types of bags and then can establish / sponsor &/or send out for assistance as per the contents.
Here’s a photo of the bags . We have a quantity ready to fill.
help from long term members and specialists appreciated to get this up and running. Please contact me by initially replying here or on the forum preferably, so we all work together.

With the rise in homelessness, more than recent history, we are again making up free homeless kits for the community. They will be prepared and distributed once put together over the next month. If you are in this situation, please comment or register here (or on behalf of someone) so we can let you know when they are prepared.
Staff from a local government agency is also aware and likely to support us in this. All you have to do is register here (or register for someone in need) so we can keep in touch.

Bit of a shame. Hope they went to people whose can use them.
As and experienced wearer of the brackenfahliah, 9 yards of tartan woolen cloth, this is the best al weather, clothing, bedding, and equipment carrying solution that I have ever known the pleasure of.
We did reserve a box load of the bags here and will be making up homeless / emergency kits for the needful with what we have.
The vast majority of the above bags went in an unknown persons boot and disappeared when no one was elsewise looking, before I received a still-waiting for single feedback from the community. Looks like a free-for-all-minded individual did take the moment after hearing the news of their avail. If anyone sees the above bags on market places, please let me know so I can go have a word.
